Rubber Division ACS

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a professional organization founded in 1876 by chemists at New York University. With over 155,000 members, it serves individuals in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields. The ACS operates through 186 local sections across the United States and has international chapters and 32 disciplinary divisions. The ACS offers a range of services to the chemistry community, including the publication of the Journal of the American Chemical Society and Chemical Abstracts. It organizes national meetings twice a year for networking and professional development. The society also promotes education and outreach initiatives, such as National Chemistry Week, and administers research funding through the Petroleum Research Fund.
