XXL Nutrition was founded in 2004 out of a personal need to find protein shakes it could tolerate.

XXL Nutrition is a sports nutrition brand founded in 2004 by Rene van der Zel, growing from a 15m² garage into a 10,000m² warehouse with about 120 employees. It sells a wide range of supplements (e.g., whey protein, creatine, amino acids, weight gainers, pre-workout) and sportswear, serving customers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
